i made gulai ikan tongkol for dinner last night, which I cooked in advance on Thursday night and keep it refrigerated. although our dinner mostly prepared by kakak but there are a few hidangan tertentu which I still don’t trust her to cook for us mainly to preserved the taste. one of them is gulai ikan tongkol. she can cook ayam masak merah, rasanya boleh diterima tekak kami and it is a weekly must have for the kids. but not lauk2 yang berempah like curry, I found that dia belum possess the flair to balance rasa all the spices. well, can’t blame her can i, sebab cikgu dia ni pun tak terror masak kari okeh.
since ikan tongkol cuma seekor aja dan gulai tu pun jadi hidangan lunch the kids, aku risau lauk dinner tak cukup. so i made a small portion of vegetable lasagna for myself which can also be eaten as side dishes by hubby (in case lah dia tak tahan tengok lasagna tu kan).
aku letak sliced mushroom, carrots and eggplant dalam my lasagna dish (tapi dalam pic ni tak nampak semua tu). sangkaku with all the veggies inside the kids takkan teringin punya because they don't really like veggies terutama yaya yang sangat alergic dengan hijau2an ni. even carrot pun kadang dia tak nak makan.
tapi punyalah teruk my kids's obsession with lasagna ni kan. sampaikan dia tak kisah all the veggies diaorang nak hentam juga. mula2 tu tarik muncung panjang juga masing2bila aku kata ada veggies... tapi dia orang tak peduli nak juga.
hmm.. maybe next time kalau nak suruh yaya makan veggies letak je dalam lasagna kan?
