Ini adalah entry tertangguh - 4 bulan!!! We were in Kuala Terengganu during the Chinese New Year holiday. The fact that it was a festive season and long holiday made it almost impossible for us to get a hotel room.
I know, we could always stay at rumah pusaka arwah Atok or my aunt's house but whenever we went to KT without the whole family (mum and the rest) and not because of family function, we'd like to think of ourselves as tourist. So, let's act like a tourist. And stay at a hotel (*_^).
We would like to stay at TER - Terengganu Equestarian Resort. The kids like it there too. Unfortunately the place was fully booked. Yup, bukannya banyak rooms pun and they were having a family day or something during that period. So, our next choice is Prima Inn which is about 5km drive from TER. Kami tak mau duduk hotel kat tengah bandar, susah parking nanti. But Prima Inn was fully booked too. We don't want to stay at Primula. Kami suka pantai di sekitar TER. So it has to be somewhere nearby. We have no choice but to consider the new hotel within TER viccinity which is Prinz Park hotel. Okay I think everbody already know that TER and Prinz Park belongs to the Terengganu royal family. If you don't then I've just told you ;-). The first time we stayed at TER, the Prinz Park was still under construction. It located at a small I don't know whether it is a man-made lake or natural lake, but there's a lake. Dulu-dulu kami rasa it is such a waste tak utilised the lake. They should have boats, canoing activities or any other water activities. I think they do have telepathy power and read our mind coz now they do have all those activities on offer.
Prinz Park hotel was fully booked too. But that does not stop me from getting a room. I found there's a way of securing a room. Even if I have to take a superior deluxe room and pay a little extra money than I intend to. I became a member and immediately redeemed my 2 nights-free stay!!! I initially wanted the cheapest room but by getting myslef a membership status I could get the superior deluxe room at far cheaper rate! Wohooo...
The view from our room at 5th floor. Bangunan yang kelihatan adalah Pejabat Kebudayaan Negeri. Yes we can see the sea from here but the hotel don't have direct access to the shore. Kalau nak main air kenalah pergi ke Taman Bandar Awam which is about 10mins walk from the hotel... errrr itu kalau ikut my pace of walking lah which is quite fast. Saya memang jenis yang tak reti jalan slow. Menonong je. Only Yaya can keep up with me hehehe. Di depan hotel adalah clubhouse. It is the same clubhouse we frequented before. Ada swimming pool, bowling alley, gym etc.
Tadaaaa!!! Our room. It was an extremely spacious room. Kalau nak main bowling pun boleh dalam bilik ni. Rasanya if you're a family of 2 adults and 4 kids, you should not have any worry about comfort. Bentang je toto kat bawah tu tak menggangu laluan langsung! Another single bed pun boleh masuk lagi. Serius!!!
Sungguhpun hotel ini mendabik dada sebagai hotel 4 bintang tetapi janganlah mengharapkan layanan 4 bintang. Dari segi servis ianya sedikit atas daripada mediocre. Dekorasinya juga sangat hambar.
Owh... jangan nanti kalau anda check in bilik mengharapkan 2 biji bantal kecil merah purple tu pulak ye. Itu harta peribadi penghuni hehe...
Main pasir di pantai Taman Bandar Awam is a must for them. Ini pun yang diaorang dok plan sepanjang perjalanan. Sampai je hotel terus haruk nak main pantai. Memandangkan waktu itu cuti umum maka padat lah kawasan ini dengan pengunjung. Luar waktu cuti umum sedikit quiet.
Masjid Tengku Tengah Zaharah @ Masjid Terapung yang dekat di hati. Dulu pernah solat Isyak berjemaah di sini diikuti solat sunat gerhana matahari dan mendengar tazkirah ringkas. Sedikit kecewa gambar yang saya ambil ini tidak bebas daripada bayang manusia. Nak buat macam mana, peak time. Lepas snap yang ini lagilah penuh manusia lalu lalang.
