Roasted Chicken Again

3-4 hari lepas hubby teringin nak makan roasted chicken kenny rogers. tapi kan aku malas betul nak makan kat kedai. rasa macam membazir pulak lebih2 lagi time ekonomi nak gawat ni kan. so aku cakap kat hubby tak payah lah pegi makan kat kenny rogers, i'll bring home kenny rogers roasted chicken... heheh ;-)

patutnya aku buat roasted chicken ni for lunch. tapi aku teringat 3 weeks ago aku janji dengan ma nak bawa ma pergi beli kain langsir kat jakel seremban. kebetulan jakel start sale semalam 15 nov. rasa ralat pulak kalau tak jadi sebab semalam ma telefon tanya jadi balik ke tak. ralat punya pasal, aku minta izin dengan hubby nak ke seremban kejap and postpone roasted chicken untuk dinner. boleh gitu?


roasted chicken, mushroom sauce, mashed potato, salad & spiral pasta. spiral pasta tu hidangan untuk kanak2 tapi orang dewasa teringin jugak... tu yang penuh sepinggan

semalam aku & hubby pergi homedec exhibition kat kl convention centre tu. rasa macam tak percaya je boleh tawaf habis semua 5 hall tanpa rasa penat. tapi tapak kaki aku cramp pulak. dua2 serentak!!! aduiii sakit sehhh takleh berjalan aku.

tapi kan aku rasa sale yang dibuat kat homedec tu tak jujur lah... harga mark up jauh daripada harga asal yang boleh kita dapat kalau pergi showroom or kedai biasa. ingat bolehlah beli hob & hood tapi tak jadi... orang kata barang jual kat ikea agak mahal kan? tapi mahal lagi yang depa jual kat homedec!!! aku cuma beli ready made curtain jer untuk rumah baru, plus comforter set silk untuk hadiah kawin my friend. murah beb!

Herbed Roasted Chicken

1 bird chicken
4 leaves sage
4 cloves garlic
2 quarter lemon
2 tbs butter (lembutkan)
white pepper powder
salt

Rub salt & white pepper all over the chicken. Leave them while you prepare lemon butter & herb marinate. Crushed garlic & sage with a mortar. Squeeze juice from 1 quarter lemon, mix with sage mixture & butter.
Lumurkan all over the chicken and put some under the skin (you'll need to cut skit inner skin to insert the mixture). Another quarter of lemon sumbat dalam chicken cavity, together with lebihan marinate. Kalau suka makan hati ayam also can go in. Marinate for 10mins klu skip pun ok. Panggang in the oven for 30mins at 200C covered loosely with aluminium foil. After 30mins, sapukan lebihan lemon butter and panggang for another 40mins without cover.

Scrapped juices from the tin, transfer to saucepan, tumis cendawan (or skip pun boleh)letak 2 sudu makan tepung gandum, kacau rata sampai berbuih, masukkan 1 cawan air panas. Gaul & let it simmer & agak pekat. Owh don't forget letak garam.
