Post Hankering

I finally made the laksa penang for Sunday lunch… yeay! I ate very little because my main agenda was not to eat but to cook them. They taste like ordinary laksa penang, they lack the ummph factor. I should have put more belacan (shrimp paste) in the gravy. But it was a good recipe, the gravy was very thick, banyak ikan. Still not so bad for a first timer who never cooks masakan utara. Thanks to the owner of the recipe i don't remember from where i got the recipe but this young lady posted resipi laksa penang yang diturunkan daripada ibunya.

After preparing the lunch, I left home with the children to do some shopping. Hubby has yet to reached home from his Sunday cycling. I’ve made him lunch so I can happily shop with the children. I’ve been searching for purple coloured bedsheet for my brother’s wedding but haven’t had any luck yet. Alhamdulillah semalam jumpa juga bedsheet + comforter set Akemi kaler purple yang dijual pada harga 70% off the normal price. Yeay! Now, dah settle satu lagi things to buy for the wedding. Tinggal nak beli 50pcs lagi bunga telur which I asked my sister to buy them from nilai 3. If I were to buy them di KL ni kenalah saya mencari di sekitar jalan TAR kalau nak dapat yang murah. Masalahnya saya dah dekat 10 tahun tak jejak jalan TAR, minta maaflah kalau nak ke sana semata-mata for 50pcs bunga telur. Next, saya tengah pertimbangkan kalau-kalau saya mampu dah larat atau terdaya nak buat muffin untuk dimuatkan dalam beg cenderahati tetamu. Kalau my sister and sis in law cuti awal barangkali bolehlah kami gotong royong buat sama-sama 500pcs muffin. Kalau tidak… hmm scrap jelah idea tu.

Last week saya terima 5 helai gaun flower girl menerusi pos laju. Gaun putih dihiasi corak bunga purple ni saya beli online. I bought them for my little princess and nieces. Saja je nak seronok-seronok sebab my brother tak nak sanding just berarak je so biarlah gadis-gadis comel berarak dengan pengantin. Saya tak sangka gaun yang murah just rm42 per piece ni sangat cantik setaraf quality gaun yang dijual kat shopping mall tu. Serius cantik sampai nak meleleh air liur saya, geram rasa nak pakai sendiri harharhar. As for the headband, saya minta my sister belikan, tak larat lah saya nak sponsor semuanya from top to toe hehehe.
We are now down to 2 weeks before the wedding. Rasa lega bila my brother pilih warna purple as tema majlis. Jadi saya tak perlu cari baju baru sebab saya ada banyak baju kurung dan kurung moden warna purple! I’ve pick my favourite and send them for dry cleaning. Ada 3 pasang lagi dalam wardrobe, 2 daripadanya dah lama saya tak pakai. Kalau my sister or sis in law nak pinjam takde masalah, we are about the same size except both my sister & sil taller than me, but no problem kain baju saya semua cukup labuh hehe.

Balik daripada shopping I found hubby upstairs in the room, tidur. I bet he was drained out from his cycling trip, tambahan pula it was a very hot and humid day yesterday. So humid that none of us wants to be outdoor berkebun or berjalan-jalan ambil angin petang semalam. So we had my bread and butter pudding dalam rumah aja. Bread and butter pudding for minum lewat petang? What a choice for late afternoon tea, more of a comfort food. Tak kisahlah yang pentingnya sangat sesuai dengan my and fahmi’s sweet tooth ;-)

sedap yer laksa...slurpppp..nih org utara dah terliur dah nih..kak lia guna ikan apa? kalu sy buat laksa guna ikan curut atau org cni panggil ikan sardin..then tambah sikit isi sardin dlm kuah tuh...guna sardin cap ayam...yg lain hanyir..lps tuh mmg wajib bubuh otak udang...br lps tuh terkeluaq hidung hirup kuah laksa.....slurppppppppppppppppp

kita guna ikan sardin aka curut gak ikut resipi. tak tambah sardin dlm tin pun. sedap lg ka klu buh sardin tin tu? tingat nak buh otak udang tp dah kehabisan stok xpe next time buh la biar meleleh air idung hehe
